These are some interesting things I want to investigate in more depth, so I’m posting links for revisiting later.
Flex Stuff:
- Flex MDI: Simplifies multiple-window(document) interfaces. Way cool.
- dpunit: Flex Unit and Integration Testing, apparently different from FlexUnit.
- FlexUnit: Flex Unit Testing
- Spectra: A cool Flex Newsreader written by Microsoft. (via Bruce Eckel’s blog)
- Degrafa: A Declarative Graphics Framework for Flex.

One Response to “Stuff to Investigate/Revisit 01”
Dude, I’ve been checking out flex lately and me likey. I’m trying to figure out how best to use it in my fledgling site now…
Ever since the RoR on facebook presentation last year I’ve been doing “research” on the feasability of such an endeavor. Back in the early nineties I ran my own BBS and was heavy into this thing called “Trade Wars”. It was by far the most popular BBS door at the time. It turns out that facebook does not have anything like this (or at least it is not popular yet) and it seems that a2sg would be able to fill that void and you could get that viral distro craziness to drive people here for perhaps a richer experience. I think the battlestations game I turned you onto has a similar model with facebook as a distribution mechanism for their “beta” and their main site will house the full game experience, (cause fbml is arguably a bit limiting).
Also stumbled across this http://www.tradewarsrising.com/
Have fun at RailsConf! Take notes for me will ya?
